Video card problem-monitor turns off?

You probably need to disable the on board video. This is done through the device manager. You will see two listed, click disable in all profiles on the factory one. You shouldn't have to mess with any bios settings, this is normally enough to tell the motherboard to use the add-on card. When I installed my card, I would get the boot up screen, then it would go black, and I had to go back to the onboard video slot to see a picture. Nvidia's instructions are a bit vague, so I called them, and was told to go to device manager as I described. That fixed it right away!
