Well the reason she didn't say yes or no up front was either because like you mentioned she didn't wanna ruin the relationship or she doesnt like you and she's afraid to tell you no so she want hurt your feelings. Either way when you bring it up try to see exactly where her head is..try to get her to be straight with you as possible with out being too agressive ..if she doesn't say yes straight up then leave it alone besides its already will never be the same with you two since you already expressed your feelings and made it awkward.
