Question about starving people in Africa? (I don't mean this question to be insensitive in any way)?

yes you will lose weight if you are starving. But of course if you starve yourself like the poor africans are starving, then you will eventually join them in the grave also. The doctor tells you this lie to keep you from doing it so you won't become sick and die.
