I'd say that this is a very fair trade. However, it all comes down to what you need the most. If you are constantly doing well in batting, I'd say no-go. However, If you're pitchings fine and your batting needs work, then this would be a great trade. Also, please keep in mind...Texiera is doing awful right now...we all know that he will bounce back...but in the short term, I wouldn't even want Tex in your lineup, so you could probably wait a few more weeks...or try to use his bad batting as leverage to get another good player.
