What is up with Bon Jovi ticket pricing?

First off, how can i find some information for my specific area where tickets aren't even on sale yet (more than just the price range on ticketmaster), and secondly, what is up with the ridiculous range of ticket prices?!? Why am I paying so much for a band I like, but is no where near as good as they used to be (including Jon, who really can't even sing that great anymore, i can sing like he can now, and i'm not that great)?
