How bad is it to eat food that has been frozen and then gets thawed out and refrozen?

Welost our power and the food thawed out and then when power came back on it froze up again in the freezer of the fridge. Is it safe to use? Also, how long should food sit if fridge with power out to not be ok. Just wondering
